Congrats on creating this space and getting the word out on Tsu! Look how much has been accomplished just by word of mouth? Is there a strategy for increasing that sharing? Some ideas: - Create opportunities for members to meet via Google Hangout
- Create a place for blogging about HUM and about the issues that are drawing us together
- Create more social media accounts and use them to connect with like-minded folks
- Ask a question of the day here on the forum to get conversations going, share on Tsu
- Create graphic memes (post on Tsu & other platforms) that link back to the forum to increase participation
I'll bet you're already thinking along these lines, but thought I would contribute anyway.

Agreed.
I think we need a website and blog asap. I also like the question a day idea, unique. We need to start creating teams that can focus their energy on specific tasks. Right now it feels like we are all kind of scrambling around in the dark. I think it would be ok if people have multiple projects they work on but we need to have some sort of structure. I will create a thread to hopefully organize this idea more clearly.

Janise, you're amazing! Thank you for organizing our ideas, even if we all were thinking about them!
You happened to jot them all down for all of us (and the ones who don't know where to begin)!
It's much easier when someone breaks it down, and your ideas are fantastic.
I really agree with the fellows above, and agreed; we really need a website and blog as soon as we can!

Hallo! if we start to organize ourselves we have to find a way how to do it:) I'm sure that Man Unified is a good organizator but do you have an idea how to make decisions, who is responsible for what ? etc. ? If we create a webpage we need to have a consensus who we are, what we want to do, what is the vision? Yes I know we all feel it but I have an expierience that you need to write down the consensus because everybody feels a bit differenty  I think we can get some inpiratioms from Holocracy en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HolacracyAlso I recommend trello.com as a good tool for teamwork for staff. I used it a lot for organizing my festival. Looking for my place in HUM I think I can share my community organization skills and expieriencies. Second thing is to spread the message. This year I will be travelling in Europe. I can connect european HUM people. It's always better to contact in reality than virtuality. Exchange and understanding is way more better.I will visit many eco communities, permaculture centers, hubs for city activists. So I can be a HUM ambassador in Europe. I can talk to people directly and find who is working on our freequency. Also I can search for a place for european gathering of HUM people. What you think? (sorry for my english:) |

Great ideas! You bring up a good point: meeting in person is so much better than online. The next best thing is Skype or Google Hangout. I'd LOVE to meet you all face to face on a hang out and talk a little bit more about what our vision is for HUM. Is anyone else up for something like that?

I love all of your ideas! I totally agree it would help a lot to get the word out in real life (besides on the internet). I'm already spreading some words And I do agree we need to have some sort of structure and one place (maybe a website) where we can find everything. So we won't be feelingb nnnnnnnnnnnn (that was my cat saying hi :-p ) like we are walking in the dark. I totally love this idea and this group of people. We can make this work! I'm so excited! I love the idea of being able to meet in person! I live in southwest Virginia, USA, so anyone who would live in that area as well, I'd certainly be open to a face to face meeting!
