Please give suggestions as I mold the forum rules to fit our needs.
Rules:
Communication
We insist on a certain level of respect and civility toward other users, even when your viewpoints differ, and prohibit posts that attack posters personally or serve only to anger others. Diversity, constructive criticism and differing opinions are welcome. Nobody has to unquestioningly agree with everything in this community. Nevertheless, we do not want a confrontational attitude, members that are constantly antagonistic, that turn arguments into fights and worsen the atmosphere. We don't appreciate dramas or excessive sarcastic posting. If one is not happy with a discussion, respectfully state why or don't post at all. Please tell any moderators if you have a legitimate complaint or suggestion about the forums, but be patient and don't fuel drama.
Please don't repost entire articles from other sites. To initiate a discussion about an article, post a link to the article, quote a bit of it if you like, and include your own comments or questions so people know why you think it's worthy of discussion.
Language
Communication is comprised of not only the explicit but also the implicit messages, which are transmitted through choice of words and general tone of speech. We do not want curse words and immature slang in the Nexus! Please use language in a dignified manner.
No illegal Drug Talk
No discussion on using, having, acquiring, selling or buying of illegal drugs.
This is not only to protect you, as this forum is far from secure, but as a representative of the HUM Festival we cannot condone the use of or talk about drug use on this forum for many reasons. Also, images that imply the actions of above are also forbidden anywhere on this forum (avatar images, posted images, ect.)
As an organization we cannot condone the use of illegal drugs for we will be breaking the law by allowing conversation to take place about it being used, procured, sold ect. This makes it especially difficult beings this is an internationally used platform, the forum, so we all have to take into consideration this very delicate situation.
Everyone has their own ability to go elsewhere to talk about the drugs they may or may not use. That is their right. We do not, however, have the right to allow communication of illegal substances on this forum.
This includes any chemical, or plant that is known to contain an illegal substance according to the United States of America. It is up to you, the user, to be up to date on the legality of chemicals/plants in your area as to not accidentally incriminate yourself.
Spam and Adverts not related to HUM
Advertising for your own personal gain is not allowed on the forum. Only adverts related to HUM itself as an entity are allowed anywhere on this forum. Spam will be treated as such and promptly removed and the user punished. Repeat attempts will result in a ban.
