Hello, my fellow HUMans! I was wondering, wouldn't it be easier if we host an app (application)?
That way Hum is on the go, straight on our cell phones?
I understand that we must need a website first, which means THEN we could potentially create an app that goes with it.
What if we hosted the forums as an app?
Maybe we can have one application with our website with a forum embedded?
These are all ideas, but hopefully these can manifest! I would LOVE to see and help work on a Hum application!

i wouldn't be able to use an app cuz i dont have a cellphone, however i know many ppl do, so i think its a great idea. I vote Yes  |

I completely agree and I'm even a couple of steps ahead of you there. It's too soon for that though...that's why I haven't mentioned it yet. Apps are expensive. I can do the design, but that only takes around 2000$ from the overall budget. You need at least 8000$ more for a decent app, programers are expensive. WE need to do some crowdfunding first (maybe the app can be one of the campaigns?) Also, I have some other plans regarding the app so WE definitely have to wait with that one. Things need to unfold a little before WE go there. Great thinking though, my favorite thing about HUM is that WE all think along the same lines.

What platform would the application run on? android,iphone, makes a difference in the language required to make an app.

cant really build an entire app without the website information anyway. alot of places in the code will need it to load information from the site. So the site needs to be sorted out before the app can be done right. Could try and get some kind of template together though. I kind of have an idea on this but still have alot of thinking to do about it. So far I will say that I think the short video psychonaut did of the hum logo would make for a great initial loading screen for the app. |
